Slide To Unlock is one of the trademark feature of Apple iPhone that has been mimicked by various operating systems including Android. Frankly speaking, Slide to unlock gives me a true feeling of using an iPhone as each and every iPhone variant continued the legacy their ancestor had been following. I keep getting in situations where my iPhone X won't unlock. When it gets in this state, I pick it up and it does not try to open with Face ID. And attempts to swipe up result in a very little amount of swipe (the bar at the bottom appears but moves only a 1/4' or so) and a tap of haptic feedback. But no dialog to enter my passcode. Step 1: First, you need to press the “Volume up button” of your iPhone X and then release it. Step 2: After, you have to press the “Volume down button” of your phone and release it. Step 3: Now kindly press and hold the side Power/Lock button. When my iPhone X screen frozen, I let the phone for 10-30 seconds, then I tried to using the iPhone. Initially, I always do hard reboot when my iPhone X unresponsive, but I worry that if this step is always carried out, there’ll be some issues with my iPhone X’s hardware or software.

Iphone Swipe Up To Upgrade

Use Raise to Wake

When you raise your iPhone to look at it, it automatically wakes the Lock screen. From there, you can quickly check your notifications, access Control Center, swipe left to take a photo, or swipe right to access widgets.

With an iPhone X or later, you can also tap your screen to check your notifications, take a photo, or quickly access your flashlight.

If you need to unlock your iPhone X or later, swipe up from the bottom of your screen. On iPhone 8 or earlier, press the Home button. If you don’t do anything, your iPhone will go back to sleep.

To turn Raise to Wake on or off, go to Settings > Display & Brightness.
